Boat Trip Nikko
At the second day of our Nikko tour we (together with the Murata family with daughter and private monk – son of a friendly abbot) venture on wild waters in a nearby canyon. After entering a boat (there were five of them) each with about 30 sitting passengers (without shoes!) we rushed downriver for about 6 km and 200 m in height. Each boat was steered by two men, one of them providing some explanations and calming down the passengers whenever the boat was slowing down a bit …
Covers of plastic protected us from water splashes, and we did not loose man or mouse.
